Terms of service

bid2build sells one thing: a position on a public leaderboard, ranked by how much you paid. These terms cover buying and holding that position.

1. Who you are contracting with

bid2build is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS], company number [NUMBER] (“we”, “us”). Contact: [SUPPORT EMAIL].

2. What you are buying

A listing on the board, ranked against every other listing by amount paid, under the Rules. The Rules are part of these terms. We are not selling advertising placement, impressions, clicks, traffic, or any outcome — only the rank your payment earns.

• Bids are whole US dollars from $5 to $999,999.
• A rank is claimed when the payment provider confirms your payment, not when you submit the form.
• Your rank lasts until somebody outbids you. There is no minimum duration, and we do not guarantee how long you will hold a position.

3. Payment and refunds

• Payments are taken by [PAYMENT PROVIDER]. We never receive or store your card details.
• Raising a bid you already hold charges only the difference between your current bid and the new one.
• Completed payments are not refundable, because the position is delivered immediately and publicly on payment. Where the law where you live gives you a right to cancel or a refund that this clause cannot remove, that law wins. [CONFIRM WITH COUNSEL — EU/UK DIGITAL CONTENT RULES]
• If we cancel a listing under section 4, we refund the payment for that listing.

4. What you may list

A product website or an X @handle that you own or are authorised to promote. The Rules list what is refused. We may remove a listing, without notice, if it:

• is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or impersonates someone;
• contains sexual, hateful, or violent content;
• distributes malware, or exists to phish or defraud;
• points somewhere other than what was submitted, including via a redirect added after listing;
• is an attempt to hold several ranks for one product by varying the URL.

Removal under this section is refunded. Removal for fraud or chargeback abuse is not.

5. Clicks and statistics

Click counts are our own measurement, shown as a courtesy. They are not audited, and we make no representation about their accuracy for billing or reporting purposes. Nothing you pay depends on them.

6. Availability

The board is provided as is. We do not promise uptime, and we may change how it looks or works. If we change the Rules in a way that affects ranks already paid for, we will say so on this site.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profit, lost traffic, or business that did not materialise. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited, including for death, personal injury, or fraud. 8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and disputes go to the courts of [VENUE], without affecting rights you have where you live.
